Week 9: Georgia Bulldogs vs. Missouri Tigers

Date & Time: Saturday, November 9th, 2019 @ TBD

This matchup could be a potential trap game for the Bulldogs since they will be coming off a game versus the Gators, and may be looking ahead to a big matchup with Auburn.

Mizzou will have plenty of offensive firepower that includes transfer quarterback Kelly Bryant, tight end Albert Okwuegbunam, and last year’s leading rusher Larry Rountree III.

The defense also has some play-makers in linebackers Cole Garrett and Terez Hall and defensive back Christian Holmes. And while they did lose a few players to the NFL, transfers and returning players should make up most of the slack.

There was not a ton of turnover on the Tiger defense, so there shouldn’t be a huge surprise on that side of the ball.

It took a little bit last year, but a good game from quarterback Jake Fromm and wideouts JJ Holloman and Riley Ridley led the way to a victory.

This year, without both standout wideouts, Fromm will look to rekindle the magic with less known receivers for this team.

Of course, by this time in the season I guess that at the least, two wideouts will have separated themselves as the go-to guys in the aerial Bulldog attack.

Having played as Clemson’s starting quarterback, no game is going to be too big for Bryant. His veteran leadership could prove significant for this offense.

The big three of Rountree, Bryant, and Okwuegbunam could give the Bulldog defense some trouble as this offense will likely be a fast-paced, high flying unit that will test both the conditioning and depth and the Georgia defense.

The Mizzou offense will get their share of points in this one, that’s for sure, but I expect the UGA defense to stiffen when it matters most and walk away from this week with another game in the win column.

Georgia wins 45-25
