Georgia football is now 3-0 after steamrolling Arkansas State 55-0. The Dawgs dominated every side of the ball and it wasn’t just the first-stringers doing it. This team is on a mission and that’s to rule the SEC.

Dominance is something Georgia football and every other school in college football wants to achieve.

Two schools have, Alabama and Clemson.

Then there is Georgia who’s gotten so close the last two years that every Dawg fan can taste it.

After the win over Arkansas State, I believe the Dawgs know they have all the intangibles to take it all the way. Georgia doesn’t have a team in front of them that could cause a problem until they get to Atlanta.

The Dawgs will murder each opponent and not think twice about it. Georgia didn’t allow Arkansas State to do much until the third-string came into the game.

More from Dawn of the Dawg

Jake Fromm was like a mob boss on the field as he picked off the Arkansas  State’s defense left and right. He went 17-of-22 for 279 yards and three touchdowns.

Georgia’s usually more deadly on the ground, but the passing game got the upper hand, and that’s not a terrible thing to say.

The Dawgs ammassed 388 yards through the air, and utalized 13 different players that caught at least one ball. Seven different players had at least two catches.

Georgia had twice as many players catch a pass than Arkansas State.

Probably the best part and the most dangerous thing of those 388 yards is that two freshmen led the way for Georgia.

Dominick Blaylock and George Pickens earned some marks this week and moved up the rank some after their performance against the Red Wolves.

Blaylock had four catches for 112 yards and one touchdown. Pickens had five catches for 84 yards. He didn’t get into the endzone, but he caught some crucial balls.

Even though the passing game outdid the running game, those backs still put on a show.

Four of the five scholarship running backs got into the endzone against the Red Wolves. D’Andre Swift led the way with nine carries for 77 yards and was the only guy who didn’t get into the end zone.

Kenny McIntosh got to score his first collegiate touchdown as he toted the rock four times for 67 yards and one score.

James Cook, Brian Herrien, and Zamir White all got into the endzone and their fair share of carries.

Georgia’s not just dominate with one back, but four. That’s mob level in itself.

The Dawgs offense is about as balanced as you can ask for, and that’s a big way to win championships.

While the running game didn’t necessarily lacked, Georgia showed that it isn’t a one horse team. The passing game really struck a cord with me and I’m ready to hear more of this melody.

That’s just the offense, the real killers are on that defense.

For a second week in a row, Georgia’s recorded at least four sacks. The Dawgs collected four against the Red Wolves along with seven tackles for loss and eight pass breakups.

While they didn’t get any quarterback hurries, the Dawgs still caused a ton of havoc.

Tyler Clark has seemed to resurfaced as the one we saw in the Rose Bowl and national title game. He and Robert Beal led the team with five tackles each. However, I have to give Clark the top defender of the day with his sack and tackles in the back field. He was so explosive, it’s good to see too.

Georgia’s got a ton of talent on this defense and much like the offense, we saw a lot of rotating. The young guys gave up some yardage, but they’re not quite there as some of the other guys. They’re learning and it’s good to see them grow.

After the Dawgs performance, it’s pretty evident they have the best team in the SEC East. Georgia’s lethal on all three sides of the ball and it hasn’t really played anyone.

The Dawgs have played so vanilla the first three weeks, Saturday’s matchup against the Irish just got so much more interesting.

Georgia’s sheer dominance against Arkansas State gave me enough to read between the lines and see how impressive this team is going to be. I don’t want to jinx the guys at all, I just like what I see and it’s not only the on the field stuff.

It’s the off the field stuff too, how they come together. Georgia looks like they’re playing for each other for one common goal.

dark. Next. Georgia football’s defense on track to be scary good

I like what I see after three weeks of football, which makes Saturday the most anticipated matchup of college football this season.
