Georgia Football: D’Andre Swift among top SEC backs through Week 3
#2: Kylin Hill, Mississippi State-
Kylin Hill has been an explosive play-maker for the SEC West Bulldogs this year as he leads the SEC in rushing yards with 431 of them.
And he’s not getting them a cheap 3-4 yards at a time. No, he is averaging well over 6.5 yards per carry on the year. Hill has been getting the ball a lot this early season but has deserved every carry he’s received.
He is also contributing in the air attack as well as he clocks in with the 10th most receiving yards for an SEC running back with 49 yards and just under 10 yards per catch. While he has no receiving touchdowns he does have two rushing touchdowns and has yet to fumble the football.
He has not done all of this against the most impressive competition, Hill will have many tough games on the road ahead and many chances to prove he can continue this kind of success when playing SEC defenses such as LSU, Auburn, and Alabama.
For now, because he leads the SEC in rushing yards, is top 10 in receiving yards, and has a yards per carry figure well over 6, Hill gets the number two spot in these rankings of SEC running backs through three weeks.
However, Hill faces two very good defenses over the next three weeks in Auburn and Kentucky so he will be able to prove he deserves to stay here by the time the next rankings come out.
