7: Fall is ONLY for football

This guideline is one that as a guy you can appreciate. Fall is only for football, not weddings, birthday parties for kids, or anything else.

If you’re trying to get a Georgia girl to stick around, don’t invite her to go with you to a wedding you don’t want to go to. Now, if it’s a bye week wedding, consider it, but still, question that friend’s choices.

Weddings are fun, and we’re all happy for those couples having them. However, at the same time, PLEASE DON’T SCHEDULE WEDDINGS IN THE FALL.

Some might say, oh it’s just a football game. Ha. I  wish it were just a football game. I  got kicked out of a friends wedding because I had a game to cover and couldn’t come to try a bridesmaid dress on for her before it. I ’m a sports journalist, and well I’ve said no to plenty of weddings my friends wanted me to go to.

Football is my job, and as a friend, they should respect that if they choose to have their wedding during the fall.

So take a deep breath and know if you date the right Georgia girl, she’ll never schedule a fall wedding or make you go to one. She won’t make you go to your friends’ kid’s birthday party or any other event.

The one exception of this rule is funerals. Those are things you cannot plan, and well death happens. But, that is the ONLY exception.
