Georgia football received the ultimate punch to the face in their loss to unranked South Carolina. The game has left dawg fans in despair asking questions like, where does Georgia go from here?
Georgia football fans have every right to be upset about Saturday. We believed this was the team to take us to the promise land and achieve big things. But I am not sure it is time to count the Dawgs out just yet.
Ironically enough, the same time last year, the Dawgs took a significant beating in Death Valley against the LSU Tigers.
Georgia got outmatched in every aspect of the game, the play calling was very questionable throughout the game, Jake Fromm played one of the worst games of his career, and people were counting Georgia out.
After Saturday, the same narrative could be made. James Coley’s offensive play calling was definitely questionable, Fromm did not play to his potential, and now everyone is counting out Georgia.
So, with that being said, the Dawgs have two ways that they can respond to this setback.

One being Kirby Smart and his staff and team look at this game and say to themselves that a performance like that will never happen again.
They learn from their mistakes, go to practice and fix those mistakes, and use this loss as motivation to prove they do belong as a top-ranked team.
The other route is to let this loss define how the rest of their season is going to play out and go ahead and say “well, we will get them next year.”
I highly doubt a Kirby led team takes this approach to what happened Saturday, but it is a possibility.
From what I gathered Saturday, Georgia’s defense is complete and they can do everything we need them to do to keep us in games.
The offense needs to help them out and respond by putting points up on the board to reward the defense.
South Carolina did a fantastic job at stopping our run game, and it was apparent that Coley had nothing to answer for that.
With a game against Kentucky this week and a bye week after that, Smart and Coley have time to get these kinks worked out.
South Carolina did not score a single point the entire second half until overtime. The problem was the offense could not answer back.
Georgia has all the talent necessary to still be a very successful program this season.
Everyone has seen what the Dawgs are capable of when they come in a game ready to play and focused on what they need to do.
I know it is a frustrating Dawg Nation, but you have to stick with it.
Nothing has changed in regards to what our goals are for this season and what we can accomplish. It’s going to take everything we’ve got, but this season is far from over.
