Georgia football signed another no. 1 ranked recruiting class on Wednesday. With several holes to fill, some signees have chances to play big roles on 2020.

Knowing it had multiple holes to fill after the 2019 season, Georgia football hunkered down on the recruiting trail and filled those holes with blue chip prospects.

Kirby Smart and co. reeled in another No. 1 recruiting class according to most sites. The class includes four five-star prospects and 15 four-star players. With several gaps in the roster, some players are expected to contribute if not start right away.

Darnell Washington (Ath – most likely tight end)

With two tight ends exhausting their eligibility, and no experienced back up waiting in the wings, Georgia needed to revamp the position. Enter Darnell Washington, a 6-7 mountain of a teenager. He’s easily the largest athlete prospect in the country and is one of those rare prospects who’ll arrive on campus already at “SEC size.”

Washington already knows how to use that size as well. He can high point passes before the catch, and builds momentum after it. He already has good hands, surprising speed and obvious power. If he gets the fundamentals down, Washington will start game one against Virginia.
