Georgia football has been around for over 125 years. In that time, the Georgia fan base has become one of the most loyal and passionate in the nation, building connections with the teams, coaches and the players.
There have been a lot of great players to come through the Georgia football program. Trying to think of just one player that stands out versus all other players can be a difficult task, but here are the top five favorites of all-time UGA players based on votes from the Dawg Nation faithful on Twitter and Facebook.
Because of Herschel Walker being the best player in program history, he is excluded from this list. As he did carry the team to a National Championship and three-straight SEC titles, He is the overwhelming favorite player across the Bulldogs nation.

Some names that were close to cracking the top five list were Jake Fromm, Sony Michel, AJ Green, and Aaron Murray. All four of these guys had tremendous careers at Georgia and had some amazing moments during their time as a Bulldog.
Jake Fromm led the Dawgs to the National Championship Game as a freshman and became one of the most likable guys on the entire roster. A lot of fans were not ready to watch him make his departure after this season but is for sure considered a “Damn Good Dawg.”
Sony Michel is in the same class as Chubb. A very likable guy who put the university before himself and did whatever it took for the team to win. There are probably some defenders that are still recovering from a broken ankle trying to tackle Michel.
A.J. Green was like watching poetry in motion. Everything he did was smooth and seemed so effortless. Dawg fans will never be able to forget his one-handed grab in the end zone against Colorado in his first game back from suspension. His tremendous career has continued into the NFL, and when healthy he is one of the best receivers in the game.
Aaron Murray was a put the team on his back kind of guy. Watching him ball out against LSU in 2013 was a beautiful sight. Although his talents never translated to the professional level Murray still put together an amazing career at Georgia and gave Dawg fans some unforgettable memories.
