Georgia basketball freshman and future NBA lottery pick Anthony Edwards earned a lot of hardware from the Southeastern Conference.

Despite being a one-and-done for Georgia basketball, Anthony Edwards is now one of the more decorated players in program history.

The SEC coaches recently voted on the four all-conference teams and post season awards. The name Anthony Edwards came up a lot. Edwards was the only Bulldog to earn any accolades from the SEC coaches.

The biggest honor Edwards received was SEC Freshman of the Year, which is no surprise as he’s a finalist for the Jerry West Award (best shooting guard in the nation) and a likely pick for national freshman of the year awards. Edwards was certainly the best freshman in the SEC scoring 604 total points in the regular season and averaging 19.5 points per game. Edwards has also been a steady rebounder for the Bulldogs, pulling down 5.3 boards per game.
