Kendall Milton and Justin Robinson’s first games ‘between the hedges’

Six players in the No. 1 ranked 2020 recruiting class enrolled early, but besides the aforementioned Carson Beck, the ones fans were looking forward to most were running back Kendall Milton and wide receiver Justin Robinson.

Milton was the No. 53 player in the 2020 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. Any top-notch running back coming to Georgia football comes in with a lot of hype and pressure because of the program’s history with running backs.

Recent history puts even more pressure on incoming running backs because five backs since 2012 have combined for 11 thousand-yard seasons. Freshmen running backs haven’t done too shabby in Athens either. Starting with Isaiah Crowell in 2011, five running backs have rushed for at least 600 yards in their freshman seasons.

Maybe it’s unfair, but these are the expectations Milton will face this season. The G-Day Game was supposed to be his first chance to show fans he can live up to their expectations and the reputation of ‘running back U.”

Elsewhere on offense, Justin Robinson sought to prove he was underrated at No. 297 in the 247Sports Composite. Robinson has spent a little bit of time with the team and he has impressed coaches with his explosiveness. Robinson is 6-4 and 210 lbs. so, the physical tools are obvious. Robinson just needs to work on route running and making catches consistently, and it is too bad he won’t be able to show off any progress this spring.
