Georgia football has been around for over 125 years and in that time the Bulldogs have played in some legendary stadiums.

Through over a century of existence, Georgia football teams have graced dozens of different football venues.

The Bulldogs’ home of Sanford Stadium is a legendary venue. Classic coliseums like the Rose Bowl, the Cotton Bowl, the Orange Bowl and Legion Field have hosted Georgia football, as well as modern masterpieces such as the Super Dome, Raymond James Stadium, and Mercedes Benz Stadium.

But there are still many great venues across the country Georgia football has yet to visit. Places old and new with prestige and a great atmosphere. Here are the five best football stadiums across the nation that have never hosted a Georgia football game.

Lucas Oil Stadium

How Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis doesn’t have a major bowl game by now is anybody’s guess. The home of the Indianapolis Colts and the Big 10 Championship Game is one of the most beautiful stadiums from the outside and one of the greatest on the inside. There’s not a bad seat and the architecture traps in sound making the building really loud.

It’s not an old stadium, construction began in 2005 and it opened in 2008, but its timeless exterior and perfect interior will help it last in an era where stadiums are becoming outdated at a rapid pace. With the Indianapolis Colts as a tenant, and events like the Big 10 Championship Game and the NCAA Final Four, Lucas Oil Stadium’s prestige will only grow.

Hopefully, Georgia can visit Indianapolis sooner rather than later. Lucas Oil Stadium hosts the 2022 National Championship Game and will become the first stadium in that region of the country to host a national title game in college football.
