Jaleel Laguins’ commitment to Georgia was an exciting one as UGA football fans are always happy when a local player stays home especially one as highly recruited as Laguins. But, the Watkinsville native left Georgia after his sophomore season and ended his career at Samford. Laguins had a solid career at Samford making 25 tackles in his first season and increasing his total to 59 last season. He added four tackles for a loss and one sack as a senior.

Chauncey Manac wasn’t long for UGA football, transferring after just one season, citing a lack of playing time. He spent a year in junior college before landing at Louisiana-Lafayette. To his credit, Manac did have a solid career with the Ragin’ Cajuns, making 78 tackles in two years.

The second player on this list who ended their career as a Georgia Bulldog. Michail Carter from Jackson didn’t quite live up to expectations as a defensive lineman. Carter never started a game and only appeared in 38 games. But when he was in the game, Carter was often near the ball carrier at the end of a play.
