The Georgia football program could use a guy like 5-star prospect Korey Foreman.

Korey Foreman is the No. 1 recruit in the 2021 class per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is a 6-4, 255-pound strong-side defensive end who has every top program in the nation trying to sway him their way. In his time at Cenntenial High School, Foreman amassed 59 tackles, 12.5 sacks, one forced fumble, four pass breakups, and 12 quarterback hurries.

Georgia provides Foreman an opportunity to start right away as they are losing numerous defensive linemen in 2021.

The Bulldogs have five defensive linemen eligible for the NFL Draft in 2021. Among those are Malik Herring, Julian Rochester, Devonte Wyatt, and Jordan Davis. Georgia did sign Jalen Carter, Nazier Stackhouse, Warren Brinson, and Cameron Kinnie in their 2020 recruiting class. However, none of these guys are of the caliber of Foreman.

If Georgia were to land the Corona, California defensive beast, a three-man front of Foreman, Carter, and Travon Walker would possibly be the best defensive line in the SEC. You could even move Foreman inside with Carter or Walker in the Nickel with Nolan Smith and Adam Anderson playing on the outside. The bottom line; if Georgia can sign Foreman they could have one of the best defensive lines in the nation.

It’s been a very long time since Georgia football boasted a defensive lineman of Foreman’s talent. In fact, it has been more than a decade, 17 years. Johnathan Sullivan, who played defensive tackle for Georgia, was the last Georgia football defensive lineman taken in the first round of the NFL Draft.

Foreman would be the most highly rated defensive line recruit Georgia football has ever gotten if they were able to sign him. Trenton Thompson, as of now, sits atop that list with a 0.992 rating, according to 247Sports.com There is some news that came out recently that points in a positive direction for Georgia in the race to secure Foreman’s services.

A group of 2021 Georgia football recruits visited Athens recently, including Foreman, where UGA commit Brock Vandagriff, along with others, acted as their tour guides.

Foreman was originally committed to Clemson but decommitted so that he could make official visits to other schools, which goes against Clemson’s commitment policy. That said, the main five colleges he is looking at are Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Oregon, and USC.

Will Foreman choose to join the Bulldogs in January? That remains to be seen, but it seems that Georgia is very much in the picture and that should get Georgia fans excited. Adding Foreman to a group of Edge rushers that already includes Smith, Anderson, and Mekhail Sherman would take Georgia to the next level.

Not only will Foreman add to Georgia football’s defensive line he could also add to Georgia’s overall defense. Foreman has said that he wants to play with No. 1 Louisana recruit Maason Smith who is a five-star 6-5 316 pound defensive tackle. Adding Foreman and Smith would be a huge move for Georgia. The two of them would take Georgia’s defensive line to an elite level.

If Georgia is able to add both Foreman and Smith you could be looking at a defensive line like the one Georgia football had back in 2002. Back then Georgia’s four-man front consisted of David Pollack, Robert Gathers, Johnathan Sullivan, and Kedric Golston. A group of Foreman, Masaan Smith, Nolan Smith, and Carter could possibly be better than that 2002 defensive line.
