Ben Cleveland

Ben Cleveland isn’t called Big Country for no reason. He has been a Georgia football best offensive lineman by far this season. Cleveland is finally getting his shot to start at guard for the Bulldogs and he is making the best of it. Georgia’s offensive line is No. 5 this season in line yards, according to Football Outsiders. Georgia’s offensive line was No. 26 when it came to line yards in 2019. Line yards are how many yards, on average, the offensive line is able to provide the offense with per play.

Georgia’s offensive line is averaging 3.08 line yards per play. In 2019 Georgia’s offensive line averaged 2.78 line yards per play. The increase is quite impressive when you think about all the NFL talent Georgia’s offensive line lost this season. Cleveland is a big reason for this change as he has been an absolute bully for Georgia at right guard.

Vanderbilt has a weak defensive line that is giving up 2.89 line yards, No. 100 in the nation. Expect Cleveland and company to have little problem moving the Commodores off the line of scrimmage as they impose their will. Vandy wants no part of Big Country. Cleveland is going to have a great game Saturday evening in his last game in Sanford Stadium.
