Georgia Bulldogs fanbase makes giant leap in FanSided’s 250

The Georgia Bulldogs fanbase has made an impressive leap in FanSided’s 250.
We all know that the Georgia Bulldogs fanbase is the best fanbase in the nation. It looks like that is starting to be noticed. When the FanSided 250 was released last year, which showcases the hottest and most buzz-worthy fandoms in the world, Georgia came in at number 121 overall and number nine in their college rankings. However, in this year’s FanSided 250 Georgia’s fanbase has made an impressive leap.
Georgia Bulldog fans came in at number 40 overall and the number four overall college in the rankings this year. In 2019 Georgia received 57.7 thousand votes for the top fanbase, this year they received 71.9 thousand. In 2019 Georgia was followed by 2.1 million fans on social media, this year that total is the exact same. However, fans are not searching for the Georgia Bulldogs on Google this year like they did last year.
Their search score has dipped from a 60.6 last season to 26.2 this year. That is a major difference and it probably has to do with the performance of the football team. Maybe it is because of COVID 19, but fans just are not searching for the Georgia Bulldogs as they had been.
The only colleges ranked above the Georgia Bulldogs were number three Alabama, number two LSU, and number one Clemson.
Overall the SEC looked like this:
No. 2 LSU
No. 3 Alabama
No. 4 Georgia
No. 7 Auburn
No. 14 Kentucky
The Georgia Bulldogs coming in at number four in all of college and number three in the SEC is nice, but it would be even nicer to be number one. That is something to shoot for in 2021. If you don’t follow Georgia on social media go follow them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Start searching “Georgia Bulldogs” more to keep up with what the school’s teams are up to.
Even in a down year like 2020, there are great people covering the Georgia Bulldogs and they are worth giving a read. So show your support and get the Georgia Bulldogs to number one next year.
