Georgia Football: Five-Star Athlete Malaki Starks has made his decision
By Eric Taylor
Malaki Starks, one of Georgia football’s top targets, has made his decision.
Georgia football is losing a lot of safety talent after this season. Chris Smith, Latavious Brini, William Poole III and, Lewis Cine are all eligible for the NFL next year. That will leave Georgia with just David Daniel, Major Burns, and Daran Branch at safety. This makes safety a big need in the 2022 recruiting class.
That is where Malaki Starks comes in, the 6-1 200 pound fiver-star (98.50) safety

from Jefferson, Ga. was a big target for Georgia. He is the number four recruit in the state of
Georgia and the number 29 overall recruit in the 2022 recruiting class Starks is such a great athlete that he played quarterback in Jefferson High School’s version of the Triple-Option offense.
He has only played two years of football in high school, but he has compiled 68 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, seven interceptions, five pass deflections, and forced one fumble.
Starks chose the University of Georgia as reported by Radi Nabulsi of Rivals.com:
He becomes its ninth commit of the 2022 recruiting cycle. Starks is an extremely talented safety
as evidenced by him running a 10.88 in the 100-meter dash. He isn’t the most sound tackler, but he is willing to stick his nose in there, so after getting with the coaches his technique could be improved.
Starks is a great addition to Georgia football’s 2022 Recruiting Class and joins another five-star athlete Deyon Bouie who committed earlier in the recruiting cycle. Bouie reminds people a lot of former Georgia player Mecole Hardman. Like Hardman, Bouie could start his football career on defense he plays both wide receiver and cornerback.
Coach Smart is well on his way to putting together another top-three recruiting class in 2022.
