How many college football teams can say their kicker leads the team out during intros or gets the loudest ovation during pregame? Anyone who attended a Georgia football home game during Rodrigo Blankenship’s playing days knows “Hot Rod” checked both of those boxes.

There is an argument to be made that Rodrigo was never more marketable than when he was during his time in Athens. He was, and will always be, a fan favorite for Dawgs fans.

And lest we forget the huge moments he had during his career, notably the game-winner against Notre Dame in 2017 and his record-breaking Rose Bowl kick before the half that turned the tide back in the Dawgs favor.

The market for endorsement deals for NFL kickers seems limited, but Rodrigo would have had no shortage of those opportunities during his tenure in Athens.
