An NIL Retrospective: Top 5 Potential Earners From Georgia Football
By James Kehm
1. Todd Gurley
The argument can certainly be made that Todd Gurley is the most popular player in Georgia football history not named Herschel Walker.
Before his suspension in 2014, he was putting up video game numbers and most likely would have hoisted the Heisman Trophy at The Downtown Athletic Club in New York City in early December.
During his three years in Athens, Gurley was adored, and that affection has not waned in the time since. Given his magnetism and his electric play on the field, Todd would have stacked NIL deals high enough to employ his famous knack for hurdling.
Everyone loves the quarterbacks as evidenced by Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban saying that Bryce Young is almost making seven figures before SEC Media Days, but I believe Todd would have done more than hold his own in an NIL world.
