Georgia Football: Justin Shaffer inks NIL deal with Natural Patches
Justin Shaffer, a super senior offensive lineman on the Georgia football team, signed a pre-season NIL deal with Natural Patches.
Shaffer has used supplemental vitamins throughout his career, which is how this deal came to fruition. The All-American lineman will make his first appearance as an official partner of USA Natural Patches on Saturday during the game.
He signed with Agency 1 Sports back in July to help him navigate his NIL deals, making this his first one, and was one of the first Georgia football linemen to take advantage of the new NIL laws the NCAA implemented back in the summer.
The Super senior was one of two Georgia players who took advantage of the extra year allotted because of COVID-19. He will likely be one of the starting guards for the Dawgs on Saturday, where he will wear Natural Patches’ B1 Sports Patch.
This patch is an all-natural performance and wellness enchanter that provides 75 mg of 100% liquid thiamin. That dosage enables the body to produce more energy during strenuous activities like football.
"“The patch helps me in training sessions and practice,” Shaffer said in the press release. “It gives me an edge during games.”"
Shaffer has had his fair share of ups and downs since arriving at Georgia, including dealing with a serious neck injury that caused him to miss the last eight games of the 2019 football season. He has since battled back, earning back his starting role and shown his team that he can overcome anything that comes his way.
After going with starting quarterback, JT Daniels on an appearance where the quarterback split his appearance fee evenly between Shaffer, Warren McClendon, and Jamaree Salyer, he now has his own deal.
Of all the veterans on this team, Shaffer has stuck around, proved he can start and play for a team like Georgia and knows what it takes to be a great athlete. Throughout the time he was out with that neck injury, he would be one of the loudest on the sidelines, cheering on his fellow teammates.
According to the press release, USA Natural Patches CEO Jerry Castello said Shaffer has similar qualities to his company, which is why they chose to make this deal with him.
"“Justin returned to school to obtain his degree after overcoming a serious injury,” Castello said in the press release. “He has made himself into one of the best players in the country and demonstrates the kind of character and dedication that exemplifies what our company is all about. I am proud to be able to contribute to his talent on the field, and his continued success.”"
Georgia and Clemson fans can try out the same patch Shaffer uses through USA Natural Patches as they’ll be on-site sampling their products. They made #54 B1 Sports patches that Georgia fans can rock and support Shaffer in the process.

While the terms of the deal were not disclosed, it’s still awesome to see someone like Shaffer get an opportunity like this one. He has fought hard throughout his career at Georgia, and now he is one of the first offensive linemen to have a NIL deal, so it’s great to see good things happen to good people.
