1: Georgia football’s rush attack needs to wake up against the Gamecocks

Georgia rushed for 121 yards against Clemson and 163 yards against UAB, and for most teams, that would be a successful game on the ground.

For the Dawgs, there have been too many missed assignments from the offensive line.  The line is riddled with talent, and offensive line coach Matt Luke is regarded as one of the best coaches in the country.

The problem seems to really be the line needs to gel together.

Miscommunication appears to be an issue, and that is something that will be fixed by continuing to play together.

As far as running backs, well, Georgia is RBU for a reason. Senior Zamir White appears to be poised to finally have the big year Georgia fans have been waiting for since he arrived on campus in 2018.

After two ACL surgeries, White is running as good as we have seen him. Behind White is fellow senior James Cook and sophomore Kendall Milton. Add in junior Kenny McIntosh, and this running Back group is deep and super talented.

White has led the Dawgs in rushing for both the Clemson and UAB games, but it’s time to see him and the rest of the backs really get in a groove. They already know sharing the load can be beneficial, so look to see them really focus on that against the Gamecocks.

Georgia has to win the running game if they want to keep winning football games, and this game on Saturday will be the first test.

There is nothing more demoralizing to a defense than knowing a team is about to run the ball and run it down your throat.  Georgia needs to improve the rushing attack and show the country that it has not changed in Athens.
