Georgia football needs to hand over the offense to JT Daniels completely

It’s time to stop sharing snaps with other quarterbacks and give JT Daniels the reins to run the offense as Georgia football needs him.

After going 6-0 as the starter, there should be no rotation or question about who should be the quarterback, even if the broadcasters on ESPN and other networks think there is a competition — there isn’t and hasn’t been.

Daniels is the man, and the Dawgs need for him to feel like it.  No matter what someone says, nobody likes looking over their shoulder, and Daniels shouldn’t have to. He has earned the starting role, and his leadership skills are unmatched. While Stetson Bennett knows this offense inside and out, Daniels is far more talented.

Bennett has a role, and he knows what that is, and I  think he is fine with it. He is a perfect backup quarterback as he knows the system, has playing experience and earned the coaches’ trust.

I understand Smart trying to split reps with the two because Bennett played so well against UAB, but at the same time, it does nothing but causes confusion for the rest of the offense — even if they’re used to playing with both.

There is no need to force him into playing time.  He did a fantastic job as the starter against UAB and earned playing time against South Carolina in return. Now that opportunity has passed, and it Daniels’ team.

As Georgia begins to get offensive weapons back, it should be well known who will be delivering the ball to them.

This offense is on the cusp of something great and has a special player at quarterback. He has the talent to likely be a first-round NFL draft pick, and if he is cut loose with a solid rushing attack to counter off the explosive passing game, the sky is the limit for Daniels.
