Georgia football travels to Nashville on Saturday to take on Vanderbilt. The Bulldogs come into the Music City ranked as the No. 2 team in the country, boasting the best defense in college football and an offense that averages around 35+ points per game.

Meanwhile, it has been a rough 2021 for first-year head coach Clark Lea and his Commodores. Vandy is 1-2 on the year, with one of the losses coming at home to FCS East Tennessee State by 20 points.

It doesn’t get easier this week with the juggernaut Dawgs coming in with some motivation against Vandy.

If you remember, Vanderbilt canceled their game against Georgia not once but twice last season, including the game that was going to be senior night for Coach Kirby Smart’s first full recruiting class. You know, the group that won the SEC title and went to the National Championship as freshmen.

There is more than sheer motivation. These Dawgs want to demolish the Commodores in a big way, bigger than the last three wins. Don’t expect that defense to give up much as they will be the unit that will force Vandy to quit.

Although this won’t be a senior night, you better believe that the Dawgs will be playing for that #SicEm17 class that won a lot of big games at Georgia.

Looking ahead, here are a couple of Bulldogs on offense that are poised to have big games against the Commodores.
