With October finally, here, the cool weather should be arriving with it, giving Georgia football games that crisp Autumn feel we all associate with this time of year.

After a week on the road, the Dawgs return to host No. 8 Arkansas for a noon game, but it won’t be excruciatingly hot.

According to weather.com, the high will be 85-degrees on Saturday, with a 12% chance of rain in the afternoon. It’ll be a sunny day, but it’ll be a comfortable temperature that doesn’t make you sweat out of your clothes.

Sometimes these noon games are scorching and not fun at all, but with this kind of weather forecast, it’s perfect football weather.

When you arrive in Athens on Saturday morning, it’ll be a crisp morning that may even cause you to put an extra layer on for tailgating, but by the time the game kicks off, you’ll lose that layer. The sun will be up by 7:29 a.m., and hopefully, Athens will begin to get crowded by 8:30 a.m.

There will be a slight breeze throughout the day, which will keep you cool even if in direct sunlight.

This forecast screams football weather, and while it will be in the 80s most of the day, it won’t be nearly as humid. With ESPN GameDay coming to town, having cooler weather in the morning will keep the crowd fresh and excited. You have to move around to keep the blood flowing, so cooler weather in the morning will be perfect.

This kind of weather is better than the 95-degree games early on in the season, where you have to drink your body weight in water to make sure you don’t get dehydrated. While drinking water is a must for the Georgia fans out there, the weather on Saturday won’t drain you.

Saturday’s weather will be enough for a short-sleeved shirt, but take a light jacket just in case for the early morning. Dawg fans need to make sure they bring their lucky red and black on Saturday as the Hogs look to upset Georgia at home.

Be there early, Dawg fans, and be in your seat before kickoff because there is a top-10 opponent to beat, and Georgia needs its fans to be the 12th man.
