Georgia Bulldogs Injury Report vs. Auburn Tigers for Week 6:

Even though he didn’t catch a pass, Georgia fans were downright giddy to see Darnell Washington back in action last weekend. He looked good on the injured foot that keep him out of the first four games of the season, laying some punishing blocks in the run game against the Hogs.

It sounds like JT Daniels is progressing in his recovery from the lat injury that kept him out of the Arkansas game, but with this type of injury rest seems like the best antidote. Odds are Stetson Bennett will be the Dawgs signal-caller on The Plains.

Georgia’s triumvirate of injured receivers – Dominick Blaylock, Arian Smith and Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint – all have a shot to play, which is great new for whomever is under center for the Bulldogs. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken must be salivating at the thought of having three edge weapons back.

Defensive back Tykee Smith continues to progress with the foot injury that has sidelined him thus far this season, and based on his progression in practice this week with no setbacks, he has an opportunity to make his 2021 debut.

Georgia Bulldogs vs. Auburn Tigers odds and betting pick for Week 6:

Saturday marks the 126th time Georgia and Auburn will square off on the gridiron. With so much history between these two teams, there’s always a little extra oomph when they face off.

Georgia enters the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry as a 15.0 point favorite according to the latest odds from WynnBET. WynnBET currently lists even odds for both Georgia and Auburn at -110 (bet $110 to win $100).

The dominance of Georgia’s defense is starting to influence the totals in games involving the Dawgs, as they drop a little each week. The number this week against Auburn is 46.5 points and WynnBET currently lists even odds for the over and the under with both sitting at -110 (bet $110 to win $100).

The last time an undefeated Georgia football team went to The Plains, things didn’t end so well, with the Dawgs getting served a piece of humble pie by the Tigers in a 2017 shellacking.

There are some similarities between that 2017 Auburn team and this season’s Tigers, including a mobile quarterback and a feature back with game-changing ability. But, the similarities end there.

Auburn’s offensive line is porous, and given the ferocity of Georgia’s front seven, it could be a big day for Jordan Davis, Adam Anderson and company as they look to harass Auburn quarterback Bo Nix.

This Auburn squad also lacks the stout defensive line boasted by the 2017 Tigers, which limited Georgia to 46 yards rushing and sacked Jake Fromm four times.

Given their advantage in the trenches on both sides of the ball, Georgia’s gameplan could look very similar to the one employed last week against Arkansas. Expect a healthy dose of The Four Horsemen of the Georgia-pocalypse, and a few strategic shots downfield to loosen things up underneath.

Georgia’s defense is a freight train in red and black, final destination, Indianapolis. The next stop on that championship route is The Plains and Bo Nix and the Tigers will not be the ones derailing their journey.

The Dawgs offensive and defensive lines will win the day and carry Georgia to an efficient cover. With the Junkyard Dawgs defense riding two straight SEC shutouts, don’t expect Auburn’s offense to put many points on the board, so the under looks like the play as well.
