Georgia football has seen some unlikely heroes so far this season. Who will make an impact this Saturday?

The No. 1 ranked Georgia football team (man that is fun to say) is loaded with talent, which is not a big surprise. Coach Kirby Smart and his staff do an excellent job of recruiting talented high school prospects, regardless of what “star” they are (see Ladd McConkey, Jordan Davis, and others for reference).

This year, the Dawgs have been hampered with injuries that have kept the team from playing at an even higher level. That is a pretty amazing thought considering the Dawgs are 6-0, ranked No. 1 in the country, and are averaging 40 points per game on offense while allowing just 5 points per game on defense.

Because of this, Georgia has seen several players receive significant amounts of playing time this season, such as the aforementioned McConkey and Brock Bowers on offense. Both of these players currently lead all UGA receivers in receiving yards.

With an undefeated Kentucky team coming to town this weekend, Georgia football will need contributions from up-and-down the roster to continue their early-season dominance.

Head coach Mark Stoops has the Wildcats playing as well as any team in the country, on they are stout on both sides of the football.

There are three Dawgs in particular – one in each phase of the game – primed for breakout games against Kentucky.
