Kirby Smart proves he is awesome with his favorite Halloween candy
Sweet, sour and gone is the slogan for Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart’s favorite Halloween candy.
During his Wednesday press conference, the media asked Smart what his favorite kind of candy is for the annual holiday, and the head coach gave an elite answer.
With Halloween being the day after the Florida game, the delicious candy is on everyone’s mind, especially after the candy corn discussion came about after the Mississippi State game from Mike Leach.
Leach clearly has thought about this debate on whether candy corn is actually good or not, and it was one of the biggest highlights of Week 8.
It was only logical to ask another SEC head coach if he had a favorite candy choice for the spooky season with such a unique answer.
Smart thankfully didn’t say candy corn, or this article would be about something else entirely, but instead, he picked one of the best candies a kid could get for Halloween.
"“Sour Patch Kids,” Smart said in his Tuesday press conference."
This candy gives the consumer everything you want in something sweet. It’s sour at first, then it’s lovely and chewy, providing a perfect mixture.
With Smart giving this answer, it should show everyone that he is a brilliant man who knows the difference between elite and trash candy.
Sour Patch Kids are kind of like Smart in the sense that he is sour but a good man. He can be tough and hard-nosed on his players, but then he is a guy who will help his players through anything. He also loves to cut up with his kids, showing that sweeter side.
As crazy as it sounds, Smart provided the correct answer, and he proved to the world why he is one of the best out there. A solid candy choice during this time of the year is key to being a successful trick-or-treat house, and if Sour Patch Kids are the option at the Smart household, they will be popular.
