It’s that time of year again, Georgia football fans. The leaves start to change color, the weather finally gets colder, and the spookiest day of all is near.

That also means the 100th annual Georgia-Florida game is here.

Coming into the season, everyone thought the SEC East division would run through Jacksonville. With Florida getting off to a streaky start, losing three games before the end of October, and virtually ending their hopes of getting to Atlanta on the first week of December, it has most certainly changed that.

We all know the Dawgs lead the series 53-44-2, but the Gators think otherwise as they believe it is 52-44-2. They just can’t stand the fact to see Georgia with that one more win and will never count that loss in Macon.

The Florida Gators enter this game unranked and sitting at 4-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play, with their biggest win coming against Tennessee, who is 4-4 this year. Of course, the Gators count playing Alabama close at home as a moral victory within itself. And even though Kentucky beat the Gators because they outgained them on offense, Dan Mullen didn’t get outcoached.

However, this rivalry week is a beast in itself. Records get thrown out the window, and it’s who can be the better team on Saturday.

Mullen will have his team read, and so will Georgia head coach Kirby Smart, which means it’ll be one physical battle.

Georgia fans know what to expect from their team, but here are three things about the opposing Florida Gators that all Dawg fans need on hand when talking football at the tailgate.
