Georgia football records at least two interceptions on defense

Georgia football has eight interceptions on the season, while Flordia’s quarterbacks Emory Jones and Anthony Richardson, have a combined 12 picks through seven games.

The Dawgs’ secondary will need to be ready on Saturday because Jones and Richardson are both going to throw it downfield, and if they’re smart, they should be able to pick them off a couple of times.

This game will be about who can run the ball better and force more turnovers, and the Dawgs should be able to do both. Kelee Ringo, Lewis Cine, Chris Smith, and Derion Kendrick are all hungry for another interception, and this week could be the one to see multiple.

Smith leads the team with two on the season, while Cine, Ringo, and Kendrick have one. Regardless, this secondary has done a stand-up job this season despite the lack of depth.

Saturday would provide them another opportunity to make a statement and prove that even if players left or graduated, they are still just as talented, if not the Dawgs most talented secondary since head coach Kirby Smart got to Athens.

It’s time to dust off those savage shoulder pads because they will get used a few times against the Gators. As one of the best gifs of all time, seeing JR Reed celebrating an interception against Florida is one of the best recent memories.

This week, Cine and company need to make their own, and hopefully, it’ll be a memorable moment that’ll turn into a viral gif.
