Georgia Football: 3 simple offensive keys for Week 9 against Missouri
By Rick Beach
1. Zamir White will go for 100+ yards…again
Zamir White has been the stud of Georgia’s running back room this season. Now that he is fully healthy, Dawg fans are slowly beginning to see just how talented he is.
After getting to be the feature piece on SEC Nation, the junior running back put on a show in Jacksonville, and it finally felt like he was officially back and ready to rumble.
He leads the team with 505 rushing yards but just reached his first 100-yards on the season against the Gators when he recorded 105 yards on 14 touches.
By now, we are all fully aware of how Georgia spreads the love between their running backs. As much as I agree with saving the backs and this helping with durability throughout the season, I do not believe it will take a lot of carries to reach 100 yards.
Missouri ranks dead last in the country in rush defenses as they’ve given up 2,264 rushing yards through eight games. Teams average 238.88 yards a game against them.
Just for fun, Georgia has allowed 605 for the season, which puts them at No. 2 in the country.
This offensive line has to be licking their chops for this chance to play the Tigers because their running backs should flourish.
Nobody deserves another 100-yard game as much as Zeus. He has done an incredible job and has run hard this season, so it’s only fitting that he needs an opportunity to showcase his abilities.
