The other Georgia football player that may come as a surprise to be on this list is Travon Walker.
He is part of one of the country’s best defensive fronts, yet it feels there could be more from him.
Granted, Walker has 10 other players on the field with him that make plays too, but this guy is overdue for a breakout game.
The junior has 22 tackles on the year, three tackles for loss, 2.6 sacks, two pass breakups and 13 quarterback hurries.
Those stats aren’t bad at all, but he could have higher havoc numbers if we’re being picky.
Walker came into the program as a five star, and while he has played well, the junior needs to take it up a notch. His best game of this year came against Kentucky when he recorded five tackles.
He was one of the guys to take down the Clemson quarterback, and he took down Box Nix once, but it’s time for him to assert his dominance. Walker needs to step up and hurt some feelings.
The next few weeks are an excellent opportunity for him to do just that because Georgia’s defense will overpower Missouri easily, and they could make that quarterback hurt.
Against Tennessee and the rest of the regular season schedule, they all have offensive units this defense could expose if they need to. Walker is one of the playmakers on this team, but that draft stock would keep rising if he could do it more consistently.
He makes this list because it’s time for him to make his presence known in an elite way.
These three players are already doing good things for Georgia. Now it’s time for them to take it up a notch and show their teammates they can contribute too.
