JT Daniels makes his return in a big way by throwing at least two touchdowns

With Georgia playing Missouri on Saturday, the chances of seeing JT Daniels increase significantly. Even though head coach Kirby Smart told the media last week that both Daniels and Stetson Bennett could play, the Mailman ended up taking all the snaps.

Georgia won 34-7 and didn’t need Daniels to do much. However, this week it would be silly not to see him unless he physically isn’t ready to play yet.

Bennett could get the start, or Daniels could since it is Missouri. Smart will say it’ll depend on how practice goes this week, and that is believable, but at the same time, Daniels needs reps because the Dawgs will need him down this stretch.

So once he gets into the game, look for him to make some explosive plays. We think Daniels will throw for at least two passing touchdowns at 200-plus passing yards. Heck, both Bennett and he could do that, but for now, we’re hoping Daniels gets his chance to prove he can be just as good with the offense as Bennett is.

The sooner he can find that confidence again, the better. Bennett has done an excellent job and may have to carry the Dawgs all the way, but Daniels needs to contribute if possible.

If he can get into this game and have success, it’ll only benefit the Dawgs in the long run. At this point, Daniels could return next season, and that wouldn’t be the worst situation.

Daniels is a highly talented quarterback, but Bennett is having himself a special year, so we shall see who Smart and Todd Monken go with on Saturday. We have a feeling it’ll be both of them, maybe a third-stringer if the Dawgs blow out Missouri as they should.
