Georgia football: Week 11 vs. Charleston Southern
- Date: Nov. 20 @ 12 p.m.
- Venue: Sanford Stadium
- City: Athens, GA
- Overall Record: Georgia leads 1-0
- Last meeting: Georgia won 55-9, 2014
The last home game of the year for Georgia football will be against Charleston Southern at noon.
While this game will be the fourth nooner for the Dawgs, it isn’t surprising that this matchup is that early. Georgia will handle their business against the Bucs.
Charleston Southern is currently 3-5 on the season and plays Gardner-Webb on Saturday, Nov. 13, ahead of their trip to Athens.
While the Bucs have struggled this season, this matchup will not be one that Georgia can overlook or cruise through.
They need to maintain as much focus as possible because these cupcake games can be closer than folks like — hello, Georgia Southern game a few years ago.
Georgia needs to stick to the game plan and win in a big way. The committee isn’t going to take them out of the No.1 spot unless they lose, but another blowout win and maybe a shutout will be better on the resume than allowing the Bucs to keep it close.
If Georgia is a true national title contender, this game will be an easy one to win. They will come out, the offense will be explosive, and the defense will be elite.
Charleston Southern doesn’t have the depth Georgia does, so that they may stick around for the first half, but in the second, the Dawgs will pull away and win by four-plus touchdowns — depending on how generous head coach Kirby Smart is feeling that day.
Score Prediction: Georgia wins 62-0
