Georgia football continues to have me speechless as I haven’t written much this season. And it’s not from lack of inspiration. This year’s team is absolutely awe-inspiring.

But what do you say about a team that continues to defy all odds and expectations? What else is there to say about the records that keep getting broken? What words do you use when “elite” no longer seems to do Georgia justice?

Right now, I’m simply soaking it all in. And I don’t want to miss a single minute or even one down. I want to etch each snap into my memory and engrave each emotion-filled moment on my heart. Because this is the stuff dreams are made of.

A reflection on Georgia football being 10-0 and undefeated in conference play.

These are the moments that the hope that has only been a fleeting feeling or a wish just out of reach, waiting for years to get realized, is materializing right in front of you. And it’s beautiful and scary at the same time.

Miserable and magical all at once. Because hope, like anything worthwhile, requires a little bit of faith. And that means you might get your heart broken. The bubble of excitement could burst and the dream could disappear.

Because love comes with a cost, and sometimes you pay the price for loving something so much.

But if that long-wished-for dream becomes a reality, if that hope-filled wish finally came true, it would make all the heartache worth it.

Storybook endings don’t happen very often in life. When they do, it’s often miraculous and unexpected. Very rarely are you aware of the magnitude of what is taking place before the ending is even written.

When it comes to being a Georgia football fan, many of the first chapters contained a lot of heartache and almosts. But the last few parts have included so much excitement and hope. And more than that, they’ve carried the weight that something special is happening.

Something that doesn’t happen very often, and you might only get to see once.

So I’m enjoying every moment and trying to capture every detail. I want to remember what this feels like right now. I can’t possibly know how it’s going to end. But while I’m here, I might as well enjoy the ride. You never know when it just might be your happy ending.
