The Georgia Bulldogs have finished the SEC portion of their football schedule with a perfect record, something that hadn’t been done in Athens since 1982.
With the win over Tennessee last week, the Georgia Bulldogs completed a regular-season sweep of their SEC opponents, an accomplishment worth a toast with some tasty libations.
The Bulldog Nation is ready to do some celebrating, and country music superstar Jason Aldean is among that massive group of fans. He and fellow country music stars, Georgia-Florida line, also happen to be the creators of Wolf Moon bourbon, part of their Old Camp line of whiskeys.
Wolf Moon is aged for four years in charred American oak barrels and is perfect for sipping on its own or mixing into a cocktail. So for Jason and all the other charged-up members of the Georgia Bulldogs fanbase, here’s a cocktail that represents what every Dawg fan says on a daily basis…
DAWGS ON TOP!
Here’s a cocktail for toasting the Red & Black for Georgia Bulldogs fans
Top Dawg:
Start to finish: 5 minutes (5 minutes active)
Servings: 1
1.5 oz Wolf Moon Bourbon
4 oz Iced Tea, Freshly Brewed
.5 oz Peach Syrup
Lemon Wheel or Wedge, for Garnish
Gather the ingredients. In a glass, add bourbon and peach syrup. Fill the glass with ice and top with iced tea. Garnish with lemon. Serve and enjoy.
To make peach syrup:
Start to finish: 40 minutes (10 minutes active)
Servings: 12
2 Ripe Georgia Peaches
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
Remove pits from peaches and slice them into pieces. Stir sliced peaches, sugar, and water together in a large skillet and bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes, while stirring often. Remove the skillet from the heat and let it cool and thicken. After half an hour, the mixture should be cool enough to press through a sieve or strainer. Discard pulp and pour the strained syrup into a glass jar to keep for 3–4 weeks.
Sweet Georgia Brown, that sounds delicious!
The Bulldogs will be taking on Charleston Southern, and then Georgia Tech on their way to what many in the Bulldog Nation will be the first national championship for UGA since 1980
