Georgia football has to fill a big void after the news broke that starting linebacker Adam Anderson had been suspended indefinitely.

After all of the injuries that have happened so far throughout this season, losing Anderson was less than ideal.

Replacing a guy like Anderson is never easy, but the Dawgs have the tools to do just that. The recruiting head coach Kirby Smart and his staff have done include so many talented linebackers, it’s time for them to step into his role and fulfill it.

Anderson currently leads the team with five sacks through the seven games he played in this year. He also had 5.5 tackles for loss, 32 total tackles, one pass breakup and 14 quarterback hurries. It’s an understatement to say he was one of the biggest playmakers on the field.

Georgia doesn’t need to replace him. They just need someone to step into his role and make it their own. There isn’t just one guy to make up for the production that the Dawgs lost from Anderson because his numbers were outstanding. The Dawgs just need someone to play their game and make a name for themselves.

Anderson’s presence was the most felt was during third-down situations.

While the roster for the Dawgs has been beaten up all year with injuries, Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart and his Dawgs feel there is still plenty of depth at the linebacker position to step up and fill in that role as an impact outside pass rusher.

Here are three Dawgs that could step in and get the job done and guys who will eventually make that position their own as it’s their time. Anderson was a big piece, but if this defense wants to achieve its goals, they will fill that role with someone who can be productive there.
