Georgia football senior nose tackle Jordan Davis made history on Senior Day as he toted the rock in for a one-yard touchdown run.

The Heisman argument gets stronger for the senior with that moment, and Dawg nation loved it. Now he has offensive carries, so everyone needs to get back on the Davis to New York campaign and get him there.

There is no argument for why he shouldn’t be in contention to win it now.

If anyone deserved a touchdown in this game, it is Davis. While it took two tries, the big man has two carries for six yards and a score. He woke the entire fanbase up with that touchdown, and we’re here for it.

Davis has been leading blocks on touchdown runs, but now he is scoring them. What a way to honor the guy who has been an anchor for Georgia all season long.

Todd Monken called an excellent play for Davis, and he tried to jump over the line on the first rush but was a yard short. Thankfully they called his number again because the second time, Davis got the right push.

The way his teammates celebrated with him should tell you everything anyone needs to know about him. He is so selfless that it is only fitting to give him a chance to do something most nose tackles never achieve.

Davis chose to come back this season and do something special, and now he is putting together one of the most incredible final seasons that any Bulldog has ever done. It doesn’t matter if he’s creating holes for his linebackers to bust through and sack a quarterback, blocking for one of the running backs, or now running in for his own touchdown — Davis does it all.

Will we see him throw a touchdown pass now? It’s one thing to let him score, but to give him a chance to throw one too, that would be almost too good. The whole college football world would burn down, and then the Heisman voters would have to give him the trophy.
