Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart has this whole recruiting thing down to a science.

On the day Flordia fires head coach Dan Mullen, Smart pulls the attention back to the Dawgs by landing another five-star from Flordia to the 2022 class.

While it is probably more the fans looking into it than it is actually Smart doing something, he is toying with the other coaches around the country and is getting pretty good at it. Every time something happens for another team, Georgia is right there pulling focus.

With four recruitment flips in a row, at this point, grab the popcorn because the show is getting interesting.

Georgia football is playing games with other programs as no recruit is safe from getting poached.

Right now, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Georgia land whoever they want and when they want. The Dawgs have something special going on, and recruits want to be a part of it.

Georgia’s latest pledge comes from 5-star cornerback Jaheim Singletary from Jacksonville, Fla., as he committed Sunday evening.

He is a 6-2, 170-pound shutdown corner that Georgia needs. Singletary is a monstrous corner and would be an excellent counterpart to Kelee Ringo.

According to 247Sports Compositing rankings, he is the No. 18 overall, the No. 5 corner and the No. 3 player out of the Sunshine state.

Originally an Ohio State pledge, Singletary decomitted from the Buckeyes on August 1, and since then, the Dawgs have been the team to beat.

Well, no more predicting, the 5-star picked the Dawgs giving Georgia an even bigger hold onto the No.1 recruiting class. Smart knows how to pull focus, and he continues to do so with these “strategic” commitments.

We all heard what Mullen said about recruiting a few weeks back, and since then, it has been all Georgia plucking player after player out of Florida. Singletary happens to be the latest, and the Dawgs aren’t entirely done.

Smart and his coaching staff aren’t done toying with the other coaches just yet, and even those who seem like they have a firm grasp on who’ll commit to their programs — no one is safe.

There is no foul play either, though some fanbases want to believe there is. Smart and his staff have a great pitch right now, and the program continues to sell itself.

Georgia is eyeing a few more pledges as early signing day is a little under a month away, so the recruiting trail is getting hot as Smart continues to light a fire with each new commitment.

The Dawgs are currently No. 1 in the 2022 class rankings with three five-stars, 13 four-stars, and seven three-stars. Right now, the SEC is battling it out for the top class as Alabama sits at No.2 and Texas A&M is No. 3.

Don’t expect this class to look like this long as some guys choose other schools instead of Georgia. These situations open up room for different prospects and potential transfer-portal players.

Fans shouldn’t worry if a guy decommits from the Dawgs because Smart will have someone waiting in the wings to steal the focus yet again. At this point, it’s a game, and Smart is winning. Other coaches are trying to figure out how to keep up, but they can’t.

This pledge from Singletary will not be the last big pickup from the Dawgs in the 2022 class, as a few others could pull the trigger sooner than later. There may even be another flip or two coming, but one thing is for sure, Georgia will finish No.1 again and possibly with the best recruiting class Smart has put together to date.
