Georgia football starting nose tackle Jordan Davis got the offense going last week against Charleston Southern as the big man scored his first rushing touchdown.

That score electrified the crowd and showed another side to Davis. After seeing him make that happen, it’s time to do it again — deliver a demoralizing blow to Georgia Tech and send them packing.

Using Davis in this goal-line package could open up so many other opportunities because opponents automatically assume he will get the handoff.

At the same time, letting him score again gives him another reason he should be in New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

Jordan Davis needs to deliver a demoralizing touchdown blow to Yellow Jackets.

He is strong enough to do it, and it would be such a good feeling seeing that look of shock from Tech fans when Davis gets into the endzone.

While the play was likely for Senior Day and only Senior Day, this package could be a fun one to use to gain momentum.

Why not let the big man score? I mean, Andrew Thomas kind of stole his thunder in the nicest way, but letting Davis do it again would be even sweeter.

Maybe even let him catch a pass in the endzone to prove not only can he tote the rock, sack quarterbacks, and open up holes for his linebackers, but he can also catch the ball. Can you say hello Heisman Trophy ceremony?

That goal-line package with him and Jalen Carter blocking for the running back is always fun to see, so why not keep the big men in there and let them have some fun.

Georgia Tech should not be a challenge for the Dawgs if they stick to their game plan and aren’t looking ahead to Alabama. While that has been a problem in the past, this team doesn’t seem to be that way.

Each week is a new test, so give the big man another challenge and see if he can score again. If he doesn’t use a running back or kick a field goal, either way, it’s something teams will now have to prepare their team to expect.

Davis is having an epic senior season, so give him another shot, it could turn into another memorable moment, and it’ll send Bobby Dodd Stadium into overdrive.

That stadium will already be primarily red, and if Georgia lets Davis score, Tech will be playing an away game the rest of the matchup, and there will be no home-field advantage.
