Georgia football sees its defense produce at least eight three-and-outs
Last week against Charleston Southern, Georgia football forced 10 three-and-outs, which is one of the main reasons they held the Buccaneers to 126 total offensive yards.
Georgia needs to do the same to Georgia Tech and force at least eight three-and-outs. The less time head coach Geof Collins’ offense is on the field, the better.
Tech’s defense doesn’t nearly have the depth Georgia’s does, so the Dawgs can hang all day while the Yellow Jackets need rest. If Georgia can get the offense off the field in three plays, that will wear down the defense faster, allowing the offense to score efficiently.
Georgia’s offense should be able to score at will anyway, but the more tired that defense is, the easier it’ll be to do. The Dawgs must enforce their will upon Tech and its offense.
They’ve bullied opponents for 11 straight games, and there is no reason to stop now. They should kick it up a notch because it is Georgia Tech.
This rivalry game always has some kind of heat, and this year won’t be any different. Tech is a 3-8 team who isn’t having nearly as much fun, so why not stir up some drama?
Georgia needs to stay focused, avoid silly turnovers, and do its job. If they do this, the three-and-outs will come because the Dawgs will overpower Tech that easily.
