Georgia football starting quarterback Stetson Bennett put on a show Saturday against the Yellow Jackets as he was clearly feeling himself throughout his time on the field.

While he didn’t play the whole game, Bennett was the only quarterback who threw passes, and boy was he on fire.

Bennett went 14-of-20 for 255 yards and four touchdowns. He averaged 12.8 yards an attempt and 18.2 yards a completion — now that is a good day, especially when he completed 70% of his passes. He also had three carries for seven yards, but it was his arm that did the talking against Georgia Tech.

It doesn’t matter if Georgia Tech is 3-8 on the season or not — having that high completion percentage against the team’s in-state rival is impressive. Bennett made smart throws for the most part and put up some good numbers.

On the season, Bennett has gone 119-of-183 for 1,985 yards, 21 touchdowns and five interceptions. He has a 65% completion rate and a 188.55 quarterback rating.

While he has the third-fewest passing yards from an SEC quarterback this season, he leads the league with that quarterback rating.

Bennett also leads the league in yards per attempt at 10.85 a pass and the fewest times sacked this season at six.

The best way to describe him is efficient, and that is what has worked all year long, including against the Yellow Jackets.
