There is no question that Georgia Football has been by some margin the best team in college football this season, however old adversaries, the Alabama Crimson Tide, stand in their way of the Bulldogs’ first SEC Championship since 2017.

Both teams will compete for the SEC Championship in Atlanta on Saturday. Dawg fans will want to know which Crimson Tide players the Bulldogs need to shut down so Georgia can eliminate Alabama from advancing to the College Football Playoffs.

Alabama comes into this game at 11-1 after falling to Texas A&M earlier in the season. Georgia comes in at 12-0 and a clean 8-0 SEC record, looking to beat the Tide for the first time in the SEC title game since the conference divided into divisions in 1992.

As the Dawgs prepare for what could potentially be their first of two meetings against Alabama, Who are some of the Alabama players to know?

Georgia football needs to find ways to contain these six Alabama players.

The Tide has playmakers on their high-powered offense and their stout defense. Alabama averages 42.67 points on offense and gives up just 19.92 points on defense.

On the ground, Alabama averages 150.3 yards. Through the air is where Alabama has shined the most on offense as they average 341.83 yards and have 41 touchdowns. As a whole, they average 492.2 yards and 6.6 yards a play.

They are an effective offense, but they do a good job on defense as well.

The Tide gives up 80.8 yards on the ground, 294.3 yards through the air and 294.3 total yards.

These six players are the ones who stand in the way of Georgia’s complete dominance of the SEC. There are three offensive and three defensive players to know on this list.

If the Dawgs can stop these six from contributing and impacting the game and the path to victory is clear.
