Georgia football currently has Cortez Hankton as their pass game coordinator, but in this instance, the Dawgs need to promote him to co-offensive coordinators and let him have a bigger impact on play calling.

He already does a great job recruiting and connecting with the players, so this would be the easiest transition of the three guys listed. A good pay raise and new title wouldn’t be so bad to keep him around a few more years as Hankton will be another guy who could get poached away from Athens.

Hankton knows the offense already and there wouldn’t need to be any adjustment period, but the Dawgs need to put an emphasis on the pass game, so he would work right alongside Monken to develop game plans that would make the pass attack explosive.

It’s past time to do something like emphasis the passing attack and make it dynamic like multiple other teams do. Hankton is a young aggressive guy who also seems like a big brother to most of his players. He has the brain for this job, now it’s time to give him some more responsibilities and see what happens.

Georgia football needs a passing game coordinator that works right alongside Monken, not one that is basically a wide receivers coach. They need to be scheming and evolving so the Dawgs can take it to the next level and get over the hump.
