The 2022 Georgia football Early Signing Day festivities will be joyful
Georgia football and the rest of the college football world begin an important week as Early National Signing Day is on Wednesday, and they’re all looking to close strong.
At Midnight on Monday, the dead period officially started, finishing off what seemed like a fantastic weekend for the Dawgs. The dead period means coaches cannot interact with the recruits or anything like that.
Their recruiting weekend seemed to have gotten a lot of love despite the Dan Lanning news breaking about him taking the Oregon head coaching job.
So many recruits showed up, took photos with Georgia’s beautiful Christmas tree, and it just seemed like a great weekend for these kids and parents.
Georgia football will see signing day bring joy and happiness on Wednesday.
Early Signing Day begins on Wednesday and will go through Dec. 17. The big hoopla is about Dec. 15, but some people don’t know pledges have two more days to turn in their letters of intent.
This period is for those looking to enrollee in the spring if they’d like or they can come in the summer with the rest of the recruiting class.
This signing period isn’t quite what the February signing day was, but it hasn’t disappointed the Dawgs yet.
Much like the February signing days, the “fax machine” will warm up bright and early and will get stuff sent in from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at night, give or take.
This class has most of its members decided, but the Dawgs have a few more spots to claim, and by the end of the day, the 2022 class should be full.
Rivals and 247Sports are two great places to look to for live updates specific to the Dawgs. ESPN will do a good job with the national coverage, but Twitter is also a place that tends to be on top of things as well.
Sometimes ESPN and other tv channels have specific announcements that air, but we’re still working on getting that schedule.
The Dawgs are going to have a great recruiting week, especially after this past weekend’s incredible recruiting event. Dan Lanning leaving won’t affect much as Will Muschamp, Glenn Schumann, head coach Kirby Smart and others have done a great job making sure to reaffirm any questionable pledges.
Wednesday should be a big day for the Dawgs. Right now the Dawgs are No.2 behind Alabama on 247Sports, but by the end of the day, Georgia will reclaim their recruiting crown for another No.1 recruiting class.
