Georgia football got great news when George Pickens COVID-19 situation turned out to be a false positive test because having him and Brock Bowers on the field against Michigan will change the game’s dynamic.
When Pickens is on the field, people know it, and the same goes for Bowers, so imagine the Wolverines having to cover both of them.
The Dawgs have a wide receiver duo that can cause many problems because no matter what, these two could make a big play to change the momentum of the ballgame.
Georgia football has a wide receiver duo that will be a monumental problem for the Wolverines.
Michigan will have to pick their poison between these two because if they put their best guy on Pickens, Bowers will expose the next one and vice versa.
Or if they double-team Bowers, that leaves Pickens able to catch a back-shoulder pass downfield. Either way, you look at it, this duo will be tough to cover for Michigan’s defense.
Pickens hasn’t played much because he got hurt, but now that he is clear and able to travel, this significantly increases the Dawgs’ chances of winning. He is such a playmaker and force to be reckoned with on and off the field.
Bowers continues to grow into a player like that, but he sometimes has his tendencies and makes mistakes with him still being a freshman.
These two are playmakers and know the game well. They know how to create space, make a defensive back question whether or not they’re going to get the ball, and wreak their own havoc.
Bowers and Pickens are intelligent athletes who defenses hate to cover, but now that both are ready to go, good luck Michigan because they will find a way to make plays on the secondary. If the Wolverines do find a way to slow these two down, then Ladd McConkey, Jermaine Burton, AD Mitchell, and others have stepped up and made big plays this year.
They can make explosive plays too.
Georgia has a wealth of playmakers at the receiver position and running backs who can catch the ball if they need to. Michigan better be ready because the Dawgs will have someone there to make a play.
