Georgia Football: 6 important Michigan playmakers to know
By Justin Brown
Entering the 2021 season, no one was betting that Georgia football would meet a team they haven’t played against since the 1960s. However, the Michigan Wolverines won the BIG10 and made it into the College Football Playoff.
After their trying 2020 season filled with COVID and disappointment, the Wolverine’s odds to make the playoffs were at a place not many would even risk putting money on because it looked bleak.
This team was supposed only to win seven, maybe eight games throughout this entire season. This year was supposed to be where head coach Jim Harbaugh would get fired, and the Wolverines would start looking into who their next head coach would be.
Despite what everyone was saying, Harbaugh and his Wolverines simply are not going anywhere.
Georgia football needs to make sure they keep track of these six players because they can make an opponent hurt.
This Michigan team is full of star-studded players on both sides of the ball.
Michigan ranks in the top 25 in both rushing and passing defense, and their running game shines as it ranks No. 10 in the total rushing offense.
For the Dawgs to win this game, they will have to shut down that dangerous running game and force starting quarterback Cade McNamara into crucial passing situations. They have to make him throw the balls and make plays.
The Dawgs will need to establish a ground game early on for there to be some key passing opportunities later on in the game.
Here are six important Michigan players to know about when watching the Dawgs take on the Wolverines in the Orange Bowl.
