Michigan’s running back duo is one of the most lethal in college football, as Hassan Haskins and Blake Corum are the thunder and lightning for the Wolverines.

Haskins has had a dominating season, recording 1,288 rushing yards and 20 rushing touchdowns. Those 20 touchdowns rank No. 3 in the FBS.

Considered more of a power runner than anything, Haskins is so much more. Don’t let that narrative fool you, as he has that elite breakaway speed after barreling through defenders.

This young man can cause severe problems for a defense. Just look at what he did to Ohio State. Against the Buckeyes, he toted the rock 28 times for 169 yards and five scores.

If Haskins gets any momentum going, it could be a long day for the Dawgs, but the key will be stuffing him at the line of scrimmage or behind it. Keeping his yards per attempt under five yards will be a success. He averaged six against the Buckeyes and averages 4.9 on the season, so it’ll be a big thing if the Dawgs can contain him.

Stopping Haskins will be the key to the game for the Dawg defense, as it will force Michigan to be in some crucial passing situations, and Georgia will be able to take advantage of that. If they can make Michigan one-dimensional, it will provide the Dawgs’ offense with more opportunities.

While Haskins supplies the thunder, Corum provides the lightning.

Corum hasn’t put up crazy numbers as his partner in crime Haskins has, but he can and will hurt you when the ball is in his hands.

The sophomore provides more than just running the ball out of the backfield. He can also make plays as a receiver.

His change of direction at a very high speed sets him apart from Haskins.

For being a sophomore, Corum is not one to just run into any gap and hope for the best. He is patient and can wait for plays to develop, which means he has more holes to run through.

Corum provides a spark for this Michigan offense when Haskins may have an off day, which is rare.

This duo will be challenging for the Georgia defense because you don’t have one running back to shut down but two explosive guys.

But if any defense can do it, it is undoubtedly this Junkyard Dawg defense.
