Georgia football reminded the world that one game doesn’t define a teams’ season as they took Michigan to the woodshed in the Orange Bowl and secured their spot in the national championship.

The Dawgs will get their shot at revenge as they will take on Alabama in Indianapolis on Jan. 10 as it’ll be another all-SEC national championship game.

From the first series to the last whistle, Georgia played with a chip on its shoulder and like they had something to prove.

Georgia football demoralized Michigan in the Orange Bowl.

Starting quarterback Stetson Bennett put on a show and proved why the coaches believe in him.

There were very few suspect throws from the senior quarterback, and thankfully none of those cost the Dawgs anything.

Bennett did his job tonight and did more than enough to prove himself. Bennett went 20-of-30 for 310 yards and three touchdowns. He completed 66% of his passes and put on a show. That young man works his tail off for this program, and no one deserves this more than Bennett.

Some said Georgia couldn’t win if Bennett threw the ball more than 20 times. He threw it 30 times and had no issues making big plays through the air. He also used his legs strategically as he had three rushes for 32 yards.

No one should have a negative thing to say about Bennett. Instead, this fan base needs to give him an apology because he won this ballgame and helped lead this offense to glory.

As a whole, the Dawgs went 21-of-31 for 328 yards and four scores— Kenny McIntosh connected with AD Mitchell for an 18-yard touchdown, which was such a sweet play call.

The Dawgs did a great job protecting the ball as they finished with 34:10 time of possession. Not to mention converting 62.5% of their third downs was crucial. That pass attack was the highlight, but that rush attack did its job too.

Georgia had 35 rushes for 190 yards, averaging 5.4 yards a touch. The Dawgs finished with 518 yards.

After Georgia scored that opening touchdown, Michigan struggled to get much of anything going.

The defense is the MVP of this ball game, even with the Dawgs laying on the points, that Junkyard defense bullied Michigan’s offense all night long.

Nakobe Dean proved why he won the Butkus Award, causing those Michigan quarterbacks problems.

Michigan did a good job adjusting at halftime to hold the offense some, but the Dawgs still found a way to put up enough points to earn their 12th win of 17 or more points.

Georgia did give up a late touchdown, but Michigan drew up a good play, so give them credit, plus David Daniel blew the coverage, which made it that much easier.

The Dawgs came into this game ready to remind everyone who they were all season, and boy did they. They reclaimed their identity and should be very proud of their performance.

Georgia held Michigan to 321 total yards, including 84 yards on the ground and 237 through the air. The Dawgs shut down one of the best rushing offenses in the country and proved why they are so dang good up front.

Michigan averaged 3.1 yards a rush, and that is a massive win.

During the award ceremony, head coach Kirby Smart said it was all about connection and how it was a total team effort. That team effort is what they’ve done all season long, so getting back to that was so important for their confidence moving forward.

How sweet it is to be a Georgia Bulldog tonight. The Dawgs handled its business and now will be in the national championship. The fans should be incredibly proud of this football team because nothing phased them, and they are going to Indianapolis.

Next. Georgia football gets creative and it quickly pays off with RB TD pass. dark

A total team win is the best way to describe this victory for the Dawgs and the fact that they reclaimed their identity. One game stands in the way between Georgia’s goal of winning a national championship, and that is such an incredible feeling.

Ain’t it great to be a Georgia Bulldog, yes, yes it is.
