Jermaine Burton, WR

Jermaine Burton became a fan-favorite during his freshman season last year. He has had an even bigger year with five touchdown catches on the year, but one of his bigger ones came against the Wolverines when starting quarterback Stetson Bennett hit him over the top for a 57-yard touchdown reception. That reception was his only one of the game, but man, did he make it count.

That catch came at a crucial time as the Dawgs looked to put this game at an unreachable point for the Wolverines. This score put the game at a 27-3 lead for Georgia before entering halftime.

Burton, who usually is not known for his outside rush blocking on the perimeter, had a great night doing that as well. In some cases, he also became almost a decoy, especially on the downfield throw to Cook for a huge gain that put the Dawgs in a position to score again.

He was basically a non-threat in the Alabama game, but now he will have to step up in a major way for the Dawgs to bring home a national championship for the first time since 1980. Burton needs to keep up this momentum from the performance against Michigan and keep running with it because he has all the tangibles that a wideout needs to be great.
