Kenny McIntosh, RB

Kenny McIntosh was the biggest surprise of them all.

McIntosh, who has been a great filler for when Zamir White or James Cook needed a down off all season long, didn’t necessarily have a significant impact with his legs — it was instead his arm.

On a 1st and 10, at the 18-yard line, Stetson Bennett handed the ball off on what seemed just like a regular rushing play to McIntosh. Then all of a sudden, the right arm of McIntosh sprung up and hit Adonai Mitchell in the end zone for a touchdown in what seemed like the momentum grabber the Dawgs needed to finish the entire game.

After the game, Cook said he was surprised by the play call and when asked about it. He mentioned that there wasn’t a good throw from McIntosh all week, so he wasn’t expecting it to happen in the game, but it did, and thankfully, McIntosh threw a beautiful pass. That play was when the momentum shifted for good, and even though it only put Georgia up14-0, Michigan couldn’t recover.

McIntosh not only impacted the game with the touchdown pass, but he came up huge in catching the ball three times for 32 yards.

Next. Georgia football has a full QB room, they don’t need Caleb Williams. dark

In a national championship game, those plays may be the kind of ones where it provides just that certain amount of spark a team needs to become the champions.
