Georgia football has fought through injuries all season long, but the Dawgs are finally fielding one of their healthiest teams in the most crucial games.

Outside the guys who suffered from season-ending injuries, the Dawgs are as healthy as possible.

The Dawgs finally seems to have gotten rid of the dreaded injury bug that latched on this season, and while some guys are a little banged up, everyone who needs to go seems like they will be able to.

We break down both the Dawgs and Alabama’s injury reports this week as it’s the national title game, and essential to know both sides.

Georgia football is finally fielding a team healthy enough to play to its full potential.

The best thing about this week’s injury report is it’s as short as it’s been since preseason, and that should excite every person rooting for Georgia. Finally, the Dawg nation will see an offense with its arsenal of lethal weapons ready to leave it all on the field.

Not that Georgia hasn’t competed like this all season, but the Dawgs finally have whatever weapon they need on offense and then some. It’ll be hard to get it in everyone’s hands, but they’ve been using double-digit players the last few games, so that it won’t be that hard.

CB Jalen Kimber (Out)

CB Tykee Smith (Out)

LB Rian Davis (Out)

WR Arian Smith (Out)

The only guy that we could wish was out there is Tate Ratledge because Alabama did work on the interior line in the SEC Championship game. He is such a stud up front for the Dawgs, but they’ve done it without him all year.

Brock Bowers was the most recent to surface with an injury, but head coach Kirby Smart said it was something he dealt with all season, and he would be fine for Monday’s game.

George Pickens is, of course, back in action and slowly getting back into the swing of things. He is a force of nature and isn’t afraid to show that passion on the field. The video circling of him shoving the Michigan defender should let everyone know the Pickens we all love is back to his old self, and we’re here for it.

As long as he doesn’t get a penalty for it, keep doing your thing, Pickens.

We saw Kendall Milton return to the field against Michigan and get some much-needed reps. Maybe he will be able to help out on Monday against the Tide. If Zamir White and James Cook get stuffed, the Dawgs will need another guy, and Milton can finally have his moment.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic for the young man to get his big moment on a stage like this when it’ll be his turn to take the reins next season?

Christopher Smith seems to be healthy, and thankfully he got ejected in the first half of the Orange Bowl for one of the most terrible targeting calls all season. Now he won’t miss any of the action, and the Dawgs will need him strong for Alabama’s wideouts.

We usually don’t cover the opponent’s injury report, but with this being the national championship, let’s cover who the Tide has on its injury list.

FanSided’s Alabama site BamaHammer said the Tide’s health would be a major question for the national championship. According to them, multiple offensive linemen went down with injuries, so that will be something to monitor.

Of course, Alabama still won’t have John Metchie III after he hurt his knee in the SEC Championship Game, but there seem to be more injuries that could benefit the Dawgs in the grand scheme of things.

Next. On paper Georgia football has the better coaching staff overall. dark

Georgia football will field the healthier team, but that won’t matter against Alabama. The Dawgs still have a massive hump to get over when it comes to the Tide, so even though they have everyone they need, it’ll still be a big mountain to climb.
