Georgia football must stick to what they know and play within themselves

The last time these two teams faced off with each other, Georgia football didn’t look like the same program that took the field the first 12 games of the season.

Georgia tried to do too much on both sides of the ball, they switched things around, and it just wasn’t a good showing. They didn’t even remotely look like the same team.

After that disastrous game against Alabama, it was evident in the Michigan game this team did some soul searching and found the identity they used to go 12-0.

The Dawgs need to keep that same mindset and must stop trying to be anyone but Georgia. Starting quarterback Stetson Bennett doesn’t need to try and be Bryce Young or anyone other than the Mailman. He has done more than enough with his talent to get the Dawgs to the national championship.

Bennett has what it takes to lead this team to a national title, and he does that by playing his game and not being anyone else. Bennett proved he could throw over 20 times and beat an opponent as he did a fantastic job against Michigan.

He finally stepped on a field and believed he could beat another team no matter who they were, or the way he played seemed like that.

The same can be said for the defense and how they got away from what they did all season. Georgia doesn’t need to be anyone but themselves and prove they are worthy of a national championship.

When this team focuses on themselves and stops trying to impress the world, they produce magic, and we need to see that against Alabama.
